This is a selection of pictures that were sent back from Jeanie Connor (Smith) and Christina Connor (Tutty) back to the Connor family here in Scotland. They are from around 1920 to 1940 (at a guess). These pictures were in pretty poor condition as many had faded. I have edited these to try and improve the quality of the image, hopefully making it clearer. The pictures are all from the two Connor sisters, Jeanie Connor and Christina Connor.
Jeanie, christened Jane, was born in Carluke in 1881 and emigrated to Canada some time between 1899 and 1907. She married Reginald (Reg) Smith in 1907 and had two of a family. Jeanie and Reg appear in a lot of these pictures.
Christina (Teenie) Connor was born in Scotland in 1892 and emigrated to Canada in 1912 before settling in USA in 1915. According to the Connor family bible, she married Walter Tutty on 12th August 1915 the day before they crossed from Canada to USA.
Both Christina and Jane sent many pictures back, mostly with comments or messages written on the back of the picture. Where there is a comment I have added this to the description of the picture.
Although I have written the names as Connor here on this website, when they family moved to the Canada and USA the spelling was recorded as Conner.
